Akara sets out on a journey to Thailand in search of a secret recipe.
Drama, 7 minutes, Thailand
Akara returns to Thailand after a life in England with his grandmother. Gravely ill, she has asked Akara to bring her the original recipe for Plakok, a traditional dish she loved as a child. Desperate to lift his beloved grandmother’s spirits, he immediately sets out on a journey to their coastal hometown south of Bangkok for the first time in twenty years. Clinging to his stiff tailored suit, he looks and feels out of place in the buzzing streets of his native Thailand. After building a whole life on the other side of the world, he struggles to find his way back to the place he once called home.
